SQL Server Administration

The administration of Microsoft SQL Server, regardless of the edition chosen, is not only about its installation and creating backup regularly. Even though the server’s unique feature is its ability to respond automatically to the occurring situations, and to work correctly in default configuration, it is only by an experienced administrator’s care, that  maximum performance, reliability and security of a database system can be ensured. The training prepares administrators (including “accidental” administrators, i.e. persons who have been tasked with its administration) for the skillful management of SQL Server. Effective management of SQL Server takes the knowledge of its basic working mechanisms, its key functions, and being able to use its administration tools. While putting together this comprehensive course, we had in mind not only our many years’ experience, but also comments offered and real-life problems reported by our customers and course participants. In effect, we have designed a training which helps to manage SQL Server independently and effectively, respond adequately in critical moments, and troubleshoot  in advance.

  • Course level: 300
  • Start date: as required
  • Duration time: 5 days

Price: 5000 zł

  • Open training
  • On-site (costumer's premises)
  • Customer’s computer

The course has been designed for database administrators, as well as all those who would like to get familiarized with the architecture and functioning of SQL Server.  The participants will gain the practical skills necessary for independent management of SQL Server, both Express and Enterprise edition. The training is available in three versions, devoted to SQL 2005, 2008 and 2008 R2, and 2012 respectively.

The basic training is comprised of 14 modules. Just like all the other courses on our offer, it has been designed by our experts, therefore we can freely customize it to suit the individual needs of the participants.  We would like to encourage you not only to choose modules which you find relevant for your needs, but also to feel free to contact us with your suggestions and questions you would like to hear answered throughout the course.
Our trainings are unique also because we limit the time set aside for laboratory type classes customarily conducted after the completion of each module, to the benefit of exercises done with the assistance of the trainer and demonstrations. We believe in this manner we can equip you with substantially more practical information and tips, and focus on dealing with the issues directly within your scope of interest. However, each day of the training is finished with a laboratory class of approximately 1hr, so that you can do self-practice and do exercises of your choice.
